Arthur Skoog played cello professionally and met my grandmother Alice Olson through their common interest in music. I have few memories of Grandpa Skoog because he died when I was very young. His hearing went bad in later years, making it impossible for him to play his music. In this picture, taken around 1919, is my uncle James, my father's older brother. My father also had a younger brother, Edward. I know little about Grandpa Skoog's family except that he, like my grandmother, was of Swedish descent.
