Lowell Skoog - Clippings, Patrol Race
Map - Snoqualmie Pass Region, 1931This is a fine sketch map showing the Patrol Race route (starting at Martin and ending at the Sunset Highway on Snoqualmie Pass). The map was made by H.V. Strandberg and H.R. Morgan in November 1931. The Patrol Race route was traced onto the map by Ken Norden, one of the organizers of the last race in 1941. The map shows trails and other developed features in the area. Lynn Hyde, chair of the Mountaineers Snoqualmie Lodge committee, sent me a copy of the map in December 2004.
